The Robert Kilpatrick Collection Part 1

Robert was born and raised in southern California, he raised his 3 daughters with his wife Rebecca in Yucaipa, Ca. He had a few hobbies and enjoyed working on Type 3 Volkswagens. When he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2001, the prognosis was grim and he was told he wouldn’t see his daughters graduate. He had to stop working on engines and electronics. He was taken off work and went through a time of depression. 

He persevered, going through a few surgeries and focusing on his health. Making a cross country move to Florida, he saw all his daughters graduate and started some new hobbies. One of his hobbies was a collection he always wanted, to replace his Star Wars figures that he had when he was young. 

Robert loved Star Wars and was excited to add to his collection. He found a community that he really enjoyed, The Imperial Commissary. He obtained many figures from the ICCC and its wonderful members. Many nights his wife and kids would hear him in his “Star Wars Room” playing with his toys. He spent many hours enjoying the hobby and would want his collection to go to people that would enjoy it as much as he did.  

He started to not feel well and one of the last events that he got to go to was Celebration, in Orlando. He was so happy, he joined a meet up for the ICCC and was so excited to meet some of the fellow collectors. Unfortunately a couple of months later Robert had complications with medications, and passed away in July 2017. He was survived by his wife Rebecca and three children Madelynn, Maranda and Mallorie Kilpatrick. He was an amazing guy and an amazing dad.
